The Brokedown

Before The Broken West was, there was The Brokedown. We recorded "The Dutchman's Gold" EP from October of 2004 til April of '05 in rehearsal spaces and apartments in Los Angeles. Here are 2 tracks from it. Also check out our work on their 2 subsequent Merge Records releases.

A live to 2-track recording. All the musicians were in the room and the bleed makes it gel oh-so-well. This was originally a jam by Molucicus that we all structured into the piece heard here. My first school project, recorded in Berklee's Studio B, Spring 2001.
